Heat Transfer - Intersection Fluid-Solid

Hi all,

I do some simulation for an axial turbine, where I want to find out the temperature distribution in the blade (conjugate heat transfer). So I have two domains, the fluid (sturctured grid) and the solid (have to make the grid). For the heat transfer from the fluid to the solid, on the intersection, do the nodes of each domain have to lie exactly on each other? Or will the results be accurate if I use an unstructured mesh for the blade without worrying about the location of the nodes?

Thank you for the answer,
alexandre

Unstructured mesh is fine. Just use a similar mesh length scale on both sides.
