Wall Heat Transfer Coefficient
hello
can anybody tell me, how CFX is calculating the wall heat transfer coefficient. Is it different from the following relation h=Q/(wall temperature-Bulk Temperature) where Q= heat flux h= heat transfer coeff. thank you.. |
Hi,
Yes, that is correct. Note that by default CFX locally calculates the Bulk Temperature so it is not constant. If you want to compare the h from CFX to literature values you will probably have to use the expert parameter to fix the Bulk Temperature to a value. Glenn Horrocks |
Thank you very much Glenn

Is this for transient or steady state regime?
