Radiation

Hi :),

I am using CFX..

I am confused of the absorption coefficient of co2 and H2o to be given as input.... my problem has partial pressure of co2 as 0.7.. and Length is 9.5m.. I dont understand if its an optical thick or optically thin.. Which radiation model to use?? Different methods (Hottel, Modest), are giving different answers..

Please tell me if mine is an optically thick or optically thin case.. And what values to input the absorption coeff values for co2 and h2o OR for the Mixture..

Another problem is whatever absorption coeff. i am giving, the software is multiplying it with global length to give optical thickness.. Could you please tell me how is the global length taken and its significance on optical thickness..

Please help..:)

In true faith for a reply

Thanks and regards,
suprabha
