Cut my geometry in half

Hi.

I want to cut my geometry in half (a horizontal pipe, d=45mm, L=400mm, with a 90 degree bend) to be able to create an extruded 2D-mesh. How do I do it (in DM or CFX-mesh?)

Hi,

This really should be on the ANSYS Meshing forum.

This is a pretty basic question - have you done the tutorial examples?

Hi,

Does that effect to the flow results, in 3D? if i use symmetry to define the symmetrical plane???
thanks,

Sorry, It should probably be in the mesh forum. I was in a bit of a hurry last night...

I've done the tutorials (a few months ago), but I cant remember that I cut any geometry in half. I know that it is a basic question. It's annoying not remembering how to do it (I've done it before you see).

Thanks

Use revolve, extrude even symmetry to do this...
