about the Discrete transfer model!
 

Dear all,
I am using the Discrete transfer model in CFX, and I can define the fluid as non-participating media.
My questions are:
1, what is the difference between the Discrete transfer model (with non-participating media) and the S2S model in DLUENT?
2, I want to know how the solver works when treating the Discrete transfer model with non-participating media.

Dear whiz
Discrete Transfer is a radiation model which tracks a number of rays (that you define) to solve the Radiative Transport Equation through your domain. Participating media means you are taking into account the medium in which radiation is penetrating. The other option is surface to surface that simply neglects the medium and considers it as vacuum.
