calculating Cd & Cl in CFX

how can i calculate the force acting on a pipe in laminar 2D-flow in order to calculate Cd & Cl with CFX-post? and should i use the whole area of pipe or half?
and should i insert a contour to calculate force? how?

Hi,

You should extract the force data using the method used by the data you are comparing against. There is more information in your other thread http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...efficient.html

It's very easy, you can search the file which DAT is .out,in the file you can find the force and moment on your wall(which is your model).
Good Luck for you !
