Coal devolatilisation - two competing reactions
Dear all,
I am looking for advice in describing devolatilisation of coal in CFX using two competing reactions. I have been told that the reactions need to be specified in a CEL code. Does anyone have a code example that shows how to set this up? Any other hints regarding this? Best regards, Reine |
Update
I have defined two reactions - Devolatilization RC1 and Devolatilization RC2 - and included them in the Multiphase Reactions List. I get the following message by the solver when running the simulation:
Parallel run: Received message from slave ----------------------------------------- Slave partition : 8 Slave routine : SU_REAC_HCFUEL Master location : End of Continuity Loop Message label : 002100073 Message follows below - : +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ****** Notice ****** | | | | For hydrocarbon fuel proximate/ultimate analysis, multiple | | reactions of the same type found. Only one of these will be | | effective for calculation of volatiles reference enthalpy. | | | | Particle : HC Fuel | | Reaction type: devolatilisation | | Reaction for volatiles heat release calculation: | | Devolatilization RC2 | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ Has anyone seen a similar solver message? Do you have any recommendations how to setup the simulation correctly in order for both reactions to be used? |
