Need guidance and help

Dear friends..,

Recently I designed a gas turbine rotor on manual calculations being modeled in CATIA., Now I would like to analyse the same in Turbo Grid or CFX.,

Can anybody help me out with my problem.,

The problem is I installed ans cfx., and even exported the mesh model into cfx compatible data file from CATIA., but when i run cfx it is ending with "CFX-pre terminated while connecting to workbench", meanwhile when I check Error log it says "signal 11 was caught: segmentation violation".,

I got VistaX64., with hardware of Intel P8700 processor, 4GB DDR2 RAM + 4382MB Virtual Memory on Hard Drive, and NVIDIA GeForce 9300 256MB GPU.

Please help me., thanks in advance.

do you own a lisence for catia and cfx? they are quite expensive you know...

why you dont ask your ansys sales person for "guidance"?

Thanks for that suggestion..,

In fact I am about to buy CATIA V6.., and even in the process of enquiry...,

As of now I don't have any commercial projects in hand, planned to hire software on daily basis., I am preparing a concept, design and commercial model on a turbine.., You know everything is about money in these projects which requires at least .1 million bucks all together and need to be afforded by self to bring them on to reality.....,

hi, installation problems are best sorted by the tech support guys. Regarding your problem, a quick glance at the tutorials should get you started off.
