# Inlet velocity expression

 November 28, 2009, 14:52 Inlet velocity expression #1 Senior Member   Join Date: Jul 2009 Posts: 245 Rep Power: 10 Hey there, I'm looking to implement a parabolic velocity profile at the inlet of a square duct in CEL. Then the CEL for your function will be velocity = -2[m/s]*(x/1[m])^2+6[m/s]*(x/1[m])-4[m/s]

Thanks Glenn, the dimensional analysis was getting me stuck. I can't find any CFX documentation to help with this. Any ideas?
