Does anyone know or have access to a tutorial that can help me model flow around a bridge pier in an open channle format to study vortex shedding and scour ?
Thanks

Hi,

the CFX Help contains a very simple tutorial for a 2D free surface flow. The flow around a bridge is not more difficult in terms of boundary conditions and the main settings. In case of invastigation of vorticies you have to define transient simulation. Use opening boundary conditions at inlet and outlet and small time step otherwise you will get "fatal overflow"...

Regards
Roland
