how yPlus can affect the result?
hi
I use k-epsilon for my problem in cfx I want to know if the yplus goes under 20 (as the limit of the parameter in this turbulent model), all of the simulation would be failed? I don't want to check the parameters near the walls but I want to make meshes finner because the tangentical velocity vectors in the sections change due to this refining (the view of them). I would appreciate your consult. |
Having y+ values less than twenty will not cause the simulation to fail. See the discussion of scalable wall functions in the ANSYS CFX-Solver Theory Guide for more detail on how CFX handles the near wall region with wall functions.
