Help?- isolated fluid regions
3 Attachment(s)
Hi there,
I'm creating the room geometry in Standrews.png and need to include some subdomains for calculation purposes. However I have added these as 'frozen' and consequently they interfere with geometry that is 'cut out' from the main room such as a manequin (see crossection.png and plane2.png). I want the manequin to be void, how can I achieve it keeping the subdomain where it is?:) |
Either cut the mannequin out of the geometry to make a cavity and remesh, or use your existing mesh and remove the mannequin region in CFX-Pre from the domain definition.

Thanks for your reply.
I used the cut out method for the mannequin but as the other zones are 'frozen' this has no effect on them. The brown and green areas in the mesh are meant to be subdomains ( is there a better idea?) to be the habitable zone and the bedclothes zone respectively. The reason for this is so i can perform a calculation using an average quantity in the habitable zone. The bedclothes volume will be a momentum source to expel particles created by bed making. Do you see a solution?:) |
yea.. do the workbench tutorials in regards to preparing the geometry

Which one in particular discusses this problem?

If you don't want to remesh you can do what I suggested originally and just not select the mannequin in the fluid domain.
