Eddy Viscosity Model Parameters

Does anyone know where the turbulent Prandtl number, and turbulent Schmidt number for additional variables are set inside CFX-Pre? I'm using the k-epsilon model along with the total energy equation and a transport equation for an additional variable. I can find where all the model constants are defined for the k and epsilon equations, but not for the total energy equation (turbulent Prandtl number) and the additional variable transport equation (turbulent Schmidt number).

Thanks,

Tristan

If you can't find a keyword in CFX-Pre then look in the RULES file. It has the complete listing of the available CCL commands. It is in <CFX_ROOT>/etc/RULES

Glenn,

Does that mean that those parameters (turbulent Prandtl number and turbulent Schmidt number) are "hardwired" into the code? If I wanted to I could change the k-epsilon model coefficients in CFX-Pre, but I can't do the same for the total energy equation and additional variable equation?

Thanks,

Tristan

CFX-Pre does not access the full CCL. Some commands need to be set using CCL. The RULES file is the complete syntax. Don't edit the RULES file or you will simply break CFX.

Glenn,

Which tutorial provides details on how to set commands with CCL?

Hi
I think that for any problem it is diffrent. For example in free surface problems you can see the tutorial 7.
God luck
