Hello,
I have question about CFX. What is the governing equation of CFX? I am doing a transient simulation and laminar flow. Is it RANS? Thanks In Advance, AM |

Reynolds averaging is just for turbulent flows. As you are doing a laminar flow you are just using the Navier Stokes equations.
CFX can use the Navier Stokes equations (laminar flow), RANS (turbulent flow), Fauve averaged Navier Stokes equations (compressibel turbulent flow) or the filtered Navier Stokes equations (LES). Which one it uses depends on the physics options you choose.
