using ANSYS workbench to model fluid flow in a porous structure

Hi all,

I am trying to model the diffusion of oxygen dissolved in water through a porous medium, the medium has channels cut through it as well. my problem is that my O2 concentration is uniform throughout the transient timesteps. whereas what should be happening is a higher concentration closer to the channels and less further away.

can ANSYS automatically do this or do I have to specify a flow between the fluid and porous domains?

also, is a diffusion simulation realistic using only the permeability and resistance loss parameters?

would very much appreciate any help. thanks.
