Hello,
I am looking for a way to project the contour plot of velocities on a surface of revolution( cylinder) onto a flat plane. Sort of like unwrapping the cylinder and making it into a plane sheet. Is there any method of doing it in CFX-Post? Appreciate any help. Arun |

I can't think of a way of doing this. You would need a post-processor like tecplot or to do some export to your own routine to do a conversion.

I'm confronted with the same problem - is there any easy solution for that or how did you do your routine?

I couldn't find an easy way..But I managed to do it by exporting the surface into an excel and transform the two coordinates from a curved surface to a flat plane. Then you just re-import the excel as an user surface..
