Equations solved for multiphase
Hi,
I'm solving a multiphase simulation, Liquid  Continuous Gas  Dispersed Particle model, with turbulence. I had a basic question with regard to the equation solved (as mentioned in the Solver). It solves momentum ,continuity and turbulence (mass) for both phases individually. And there is an additional "pvol" equation being solved, does this somehow relate to the volume fraction? Cos when i plot the pvol variable at outlets (while solving), it plots the mass flow. Any help appreciated. Thanks Luke 
"pvol" is the continuity equation. You do not solve the continuity equation at the phase level.

What are the 2 mass phase equations (based on volume fractions) that are solved? At the boundarys, apart from the phase momentum, pvol and phase turb variables, i see 2 phase mass variables. Are they no derived from the phase continuity? Question might sound dumb, sorry, but i'm just thinking out loud. Thanks Luke
