The AoA is 12 degree,velocity is 10m/s
Attachment 3622
the X component force of the wing finally increases the Lift force and decreases the Drag force

And your question is......

extinguisher June 4, 2010 02:01

the result (-2.08692N)of the X component was right or wrong?

ghorrocks June 4, 2010 08:21

Are you asking if the force in the X direction is -2N - sounds wrong to me as the drag should be in the + direction, but I have no idea what you are modelling so cannot be sure.

I simulated a three-dimensional flow around the wing, angle of attack from 0 degrees to completely stall.

If you are running steady state then you have not run it to convergence. If you are running transient and you are near stall it is quite possible the airfoil will have short periods of negative drag. Averaged over time the drag will be positive.
