I am simulating a centrifugal pump in CFX ANSYS 12, but I don't know how obtein the characteristic curve Q vs H.

Please help me.

Regards

Ivan :)

Have a look in the best practises guide int he documentation. There is one for pumps.

Hi, thanks for your answer,

Q vs H = Capacity (GPM) vs Head (feet or meter)

My e-mail is tristan_rips19@hotmail.com

I simulated the impeller of centrifugal pump, with next information:

Inlet: 5.214 m/s
Outlet: 80000 Pa

But I don't obtain the characteristic curve.

Thanks

Ivan:)

At the BC of the simulation, u have to define the inlet volume flow rate of the pump. And the head can be calculated from the pressure drop of the pump, divided by ρg. H=(Poutlet-Pinlet)/ρg.
