DNS with CFX 11.0

hi,

Would it be possible to use DNS directly with CFX 11.00
I have read the following post but was wondering whether there are any
recent developments
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...using-cfx.html
Looking through the documentation and other sources could not get me anywhere
Any ideas welcome

many thanks :)

It is possible to do DNS in CFX... And it is possible to swim across the Pacific Ocean. CFX is not a good tool for DNS. DNS needs low dissipation differencing schemes, fine grids and fine timesteps. CFX has upwinding based differencing schemes (high dissipation), and an implicit numerical approach which is optimised for large time steps, not small ones.

If you want to do DNS then get a code designed for DNS. Even better, write your own then you can optimise it for what you are doing.
