Dear All,

I am performing a FSI simulation using coupled scheme of Transient Structural and Fluid Flow (CFX) in Workbench. This is a transient simulation. My problem is that the simulation cannot reach the time step that I set up. For example, I set up 1000 time steps but it stops at 250 time steps. The log file shows that the reason is the number of error and warning message exceeds 10000. I have read a post related to this kind of problem, the solution is using /NERR command to increase the number of messages. I do not know how to do it in Workbench environment?

I am not verse in the WB environment but they use a command snippet. That particular command can be input in the solution portion, so you should be able to insert the command there.

On the other hand, arent you worried that you have 10000 errors and counting?

My simulation cannot reach the desired time step and I checked the log file, it shows more than 10000 warning messages.

try this as an APDL element within the ANSYS setup

Code:
/NERR,,99999999, ! changes # of error and warnings
use the "Insert Command" button in the solution part of the "ansys-setup-tree".

But it is also a good idea to check for the warnings in any case.

Dear,
the same question i face,in the ansys, err file, some messages likes
"*** WARNING *** CP = 2.777 TIME= 22:52:05
Some of the defined and selected elements did not require fluid solid
interface. Use the SFELIST,ALL,FSIN command to view a list of
elements that did have fluid solid interface stored. "
"*** WARNING *** CP = 23.697 TIME= 22:53:49
ANSYS has found the contact pairs have similar mesh patterns which can
cause overconstraint. ANSYS will deactivate the current pair and keep
its companion pair. "
" *** WARNING *** CP = 55.178 TIME= 22:55:32
Rigid contact surface was found. Switch contact and target surfaces if
possible. "
can u tell me how to solve the question, thank u very much.

I increased the number of warnings by using the command that Matthias mentioned: "/NERR,,99999999, ! changes # of error and warnings"
