One of my simulations stopped unexpectedly with the following three errors:

I couldn't find any information regarding these errors on this website, Google, or the Help files.

Any ideas? Thanks!

CFX has lots of incomprehensible error messages. You can only have a guess at what they are getting at.

Looks like it is having problems writing some sort of file. What physics are you using to generate this? Are you sure the file permissions are OK? Plenty of disk space?

I'm performing a low-Reynolds-number flow simulation over an airfoil. Nothing special about it.

I don't understand your "file permissions" question, I'm afraid.

There is plenty of disk space.

The error doesn't seem to have reappeared after restarting the simulation from the last written .trn file.

I see. Some physics models write temporary files as they work - but I don't think yours will be doing that so I have no idea what the error is talking about.

The MMS (Memory management structure - where all data is stored internally in CFX) is arranged in a directory structure, could it be there is some problem with the MMS? Just a guess, and no idea what to do if it was anyway.

There could be a problem with the MMS, but I doubt it since three other simulations are successfully running/writing from/to the same location. Still, the problem hasn't reappeared since, so I'm hoping it was just a one-time occurrence.

ANSYS got back to me about this error. Solver sometimes writes .lck (lock) files when a simulation crashes, for example. These .lck files are supposed to be deleted automatically when the simulation resumes. In my case, however, they weren't. This caused problems when writing the .res files. I simply deleted all the .lck files on my computer and the problem was solved.

Hi,

I got the same ERROR #001100279,so i am trying to delete all the .lck files on my computer but the computer can not delete the .lck files,because can not read the source files.

What i have to do?

This is more of a general Windows question than a CFD question. Have you tried searching for your problem on Google?
