Hi,

I am modelling a sloshing flow in CFX V.12 to compare with experimental data. Is there any way of importing the measured displacemnet from the experimental rig into CFX to control the movement of the mesh?

Thanks in advance for your responses,
Greg

Is the rig a rigid body, so you just have displacement versus time? If so, create a 1D interpolation function then instead of manually entering the data point you can right-click to import data from a file. Next you'll want to define your entire moving domain as a subdomain, then set the motion of the subdomain to use the 1D interpolation function.

Thank's for your advise. You are correct to assume that the rig is a rigid body and that the displacement is simply time dependant. I'll give this a go and let you know the outcome.

Many Thanks,
Greg
