I'm wishing to model a system, part of which involves measuring the change in the vapour pressure of water due to a heat impulse.
I believed I could do this in CFX after seeing some promotional material stating that it had models for evaporation and condensation. However, I'm new to CFX and am having trouble understanding how to implement this. I've worked through some of the tutorials provided with CFX but none of them seem to cover evaporation. Does anyone have a tutorial or advice as to how I'd go about implementing condensation or evaporation? |

I don't think any tutorial examples cover evaporation. Talk to CFX support, they might have an example simulation.

Ok thanks for the info. I'll stop looking for some and will get in touch with CFX support.
Cheers, Callum |

There is the spray drier tutorial. It does evaporation of water droplets in hot air, using lagrangian particle tracking. Is this of use?

You can check the (Axial Turbine Equilibrium and Non-Equilibrium Steam Predictions) tutorial to see the inverse phenomenon, where vapor is condensed in the last stages of steam turbines and water droplet is generated. I will give you an insight to solve your problem.

Thanks Glenn and Playmaster. I've glanced through both tutorials quickly and am going to work through them now. I think combining parts from each I should be able to make some progress.
