Transient stator-rotor interface

Hi everyone,

I am trying to get a solution for transient stator-rotor simulation. 23 stators, 29 rotors. I am using 1 stator and 1 rotor in the simulation. The initial conditions are taken from the Frozen rotor results. I am having problems at the interface, I guess. My stator wake is not transported into the rotor domain. I am attaching three jpeg images taken at different timesteps, showing the "Velocity in stationary domain" distribution at the mid-span. At the domain interface I am selecting "Transient" option, which I guess is true. But, somewhere I am doing something wrong.

By the way, I am simulating only 1 pitch, and dividing it into 10 time intervals.

SST k-w, with the Gamma-Theta transitional model is applied to the model.

Has anyone of you encountered such a problem?

Thanks in advance,

I also want to add that my domain interface is not perpendicular to the rotation axis. It is inclined. Do you think that it might affect the interaction of the domains?

thanks

Hi,
I am a newbie in CFD, so please excuse me if I am incorrect. I think you should look at the vectors at the interface rather than contours to get a better idea of what is going wrong over there. Also pressure contours will be able to point out the interface issues more clearly ( which would be evident from huge jump in pressures.
