Adding a term to Navier Stokes Equation

Hi there

I like to simulate a magnetic flow in a pipe. In order to consider the effects of Magnetic forces, the following term should be added to right hand side of the Navier Stokes equation.

H0(which is constant and shows power of magnetic forces)*Velocity vector

Does anybody know how I can add the above term to Navier Stokes equation in CFX?

Best wishes
Ashtonj

CFX already has an EHD solver build in. I can't remember whether it is beta or not, but it has been in there for a few versions.

Alternately for a simple thing like you describe you could do this with a momentum source term.

Adding Source Term to N-S equation

Dear ghorrocks

Thank you so much. Could you please let me know how I can add a source term to Navire Stokes equation in CFX.

Regards,
Ashtonj

Look in the documentation under source terms.
