Excuse me all:
I would like to simulate the gas separation by hollow fiber. the inlet gas is form outside of the fiber, and the permeate goes out in inside of the fiber. the figure attached illustrates the structure of the process.

I drew three model and meshed them. after that imported them in cfx-pre. connected shell(outside of membrane hollow fiber as feed gas), membrane(porous hollow fiber) and inner(inside the membrane as permeate gas) by interface.

In the porouse media(hollow fiber membrane), i applied directional loss in cylindrical components(axial component is 0, radial 1, theta 0). inlet boundary is velocity of 2m/s and outlet is static pressure 0 pa.

However, after exit cfx-per, i am not able to go through the cfx-solver. the message form the solver is listed below:

This run of the ANSYS CFX Solver has finished.

Since i am not quite familiar with CFX, i DON'T know what is the reason for the failure of solving and how to correct the error.

Is there any one who can help me?

first thank you for your reply. yes, it does work in workbench. i think the error is from"Error interpolating results onto the new mesh" but i do not know how to deal with this problem.

I want to describe my problem too, because I got the same error and the same warning when solving within workbench.

I defined two thin discs where one is rotating (2000 rpm) around the x - axes and the other one is stationary. Between the two discs there is the fluid.
Because this case should be kind of a basis to define more complex cases, I had to use exactly 1/13 (29,692°) of a circle. Additionally I assume that the fluid is periodic in circumferential direction using domain interfaces (two solid-solid and one fluid-fluid). You can see the geometry in the following picture:

I defined two solid and one fluid domain and connected them with domain interfaces. One disc has a rotational velocity and the related domain interface at the fluid has a no-slip wall condition with a velocity of 2000 rpm.
I have a quite similar case with the same settings where everything works fine. It is shown in this picture:

One disc as in the first case, and the rotating disc with a more complex geometry. Here everything works fine.
Do you have any suggestions where I defined wrong conditions? Or something different?

I have the same error within wb. Never tested it with CFX standalone. My actual work-around is to reset the solution cell any time I start. Not satisfying. May be bug and subsequently a case for the ANSYS service

yes, just add a initialization. and it works well.
