Default Smoke modelling in CFX 5

I'm looking for smoke modelling in CFX 5. Fas anyone some good sugestion or some examples. I'm also looking for more detailed model description of pool fire model made by Y.L.Synai or some imput files for CFX.

Hi Peter!

I have some files from Mr. Sinai(he send them to me 1 month ago). The def file was created in cfx 4 so you cannot run them with cfx 5, but you can open them and see the settings. The file is about steckler's room, and the smoke isn't mdeled. Let me know if you need them. ioana

i am search a long time for detailed smoke module in cfx with ansys 13
can you help me plz with you experience and if you can send me a complete smoke model using cfx i would be very thank full

I think this thread is long dead.

But smoke modelling in CFX is possible. The simple approach is to use an additional variable and track that around, but if you want to take into account the different material properties of smoke you can do multi component mixtures. You can even model the chemistry of combustion if that is of use. All of these options are possible.
