If you explain what you are doing and the circumstances by which the error came about we may be able to help you.

Recently I have faced the similar/same issue
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | Signal caught: Abnormal termination | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | Stopped in routine FPX: SIG_HANDLER | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | The ANSYS CFX partitioner exited with return code 1. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ But this error occurred during the partitioning. This is because the default MeTiS k-way algorithm in CFX cannot handle large models, if the number of elements exceeds about 80MM, then we will end up with this error. As a solution we can use the other partitioning algorithms: In the Partitioner tab check Use Large Problem Partitioner. This enables Optimized R.C.B. as Partitioning algorithm. We can also use Directional R.C.B or D.R.C.B. While using some clusters or super computers we can enter the following commands; -part-large by default invokes Optimized R.C.B., -part-mode drcb for Directional R.C.B. -part-mode rcb for R.C.B. |
