I am giving a short presentation on some of the CFX utlities and was hoping to get a few more examples than I currently have.
By utlities, I mean things like: cfx5dfile cfx5pre/post -line / -batch Currently, I am running through examples of creating .def files and launching jobs using both cfx5pre -batch <sessionfile> and by using cfx5gtmconv my.cfx5 my.def my.ccl. I also have a quick section on post-processing multiple files using cfx5post -batch <sessionfile>, as well as a section on extracting monitor data using cfx5dfile. I was hoping for a couple more examples, or maybe even another utility that I've not heard of. It seems as though the documentation for these things isn't great. Anyways, if you have a great script that wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to see it. Thanks, |

These functions are all explained in the CFX documentation, with lots of examples.

Do you have a section number? I have found the documentation on these to be completely unimpressive. The section on power syntax contains I believe 2 examples, one of which is trivial, and the other simply includes a for loop. I've found the man pages more helpful than the documentation.
I'm not asking anyone to do research for me, I was just hoping that if anyone had some clever scripts, they'd be willing to share. Cheers, |

Try section 2.5, "Starting ANSYS CFX Components from the Command Line".

That section is basically a link to each commands help file. It has zero examples.
The only relatively decent section I found was Post User's Guide > Command Action / Power Syntax. They are still short on examples IMHO. Either way, thanks for the help. I'll just do what I can. |
