Hi,

Currently we are solving a variable turbine geometry (VTG) turbocharger using CFX. We have considered Exhaust manifold, Volute (Scroll) , Turbine wheel as fluid domains and also extended the inlet and outlet for flow development.

We are usually getting higher pressure (gets doubled say expected is 1.3 bar we are getting 2.6 bar) at Turbocharger Inlet than the test data.
Here we are giving inlet massflow and at turbine outlet static pressure (1 atm) as boundary condition with SST K-Omega turbulence model.

Could anyone say what is the reason of high pressure at turbocharger inlet?

Thanks
