ACER is on a distinguished road
hi

i am actually meshing a wing on CFX mesh, and my max skewness value has reached something like 0.9999!!!! could anyone give me some advice on how to decrease that value, i have been trying for the past 2 days but no results. i have read that poor mesh quality might affect solution and accuracy.

any kind of suggestion would help

thanks

I would just trying using the mesh as is, but look at the mesh statistics as reported by the CFX Solver since they may show better orthogonality values. Since CFX is node centered, then the control volume orthogonality naturally becomes better than the mesh element orthogonality (although I'm not sure which one the CFX Solver output reports). A few poor quality elements usually aren't a problem.
