May 25, 2011, 09:10 Distribution in the inlet boundary condition #1 Member   Join Date: Sep 2010 Posts: 45 Rep Power: 8 Hi all, I am doing a whole cycle simulation of a compressor stage using ANSYS CFX12.0, the inlet boundary condition is Total Pressure, but this total pressure is not merely a value, it is a circumferential distribution. Does CFX can figure it out, how? Thank you firstly, Sincerely, BalanceChen

If you do not know the distribution you cannot use this boundary condition. Obviously if you do not know the pressure you cannot define a pressure boundary. BalanceChen likes this.

Other way could be to use step function to define your inlet boundary total pressure settings. I hope this helps cheers Pratik
