fire simulation

Hi all,,,,
I attempt to simulate the fire inside room, but at the first stage I will use solid heat source instead of the fire.
My equation is that it is possible in the cfx!!! as I read it is possibl ebut I cannot get any realistic results??????
I set the air ar fluid domain and heat source ( volume body at the center of my room) as solid domain and then I branch sumdomain their at certain volumatric heat release.however, I did not find any temperature distribution inside the fluid domain( looks as I did not consider inserting heat source).

can anyone find where I made the wrong setting????????
thanks

Before using a heat source try simply making one boundary face at a high temperature. That will tell you if the problem is your heat source or setting up the model to model heat transfer.

hot boundary condition does not work

thanks for ur replaying...I did it before, but I could not get any resonable results????
In additino, when I represent the fire as fluid domain , my simulation works perfectlly.

By the way, I got reference which represent the fire as hot surface and get good results, but the writer used CD-Star software??????

So any another idea make my simulation works!!!!!!!

Regards

help plz

Is there anyone please???

Your question is pretty basic and should be covered by the tutorials. Have you done all the tutorials? Also consider the training courses run by ANSYS.

I got results & will not ask U again

Hi...
I found the reason which make my simulation did not give me quick results.
first, hot surface and heat source representing as solid subdomain need long time to effect on the surronding fluid...
I make run more than 40 sec with short time step and I start to get results.
finally, thanks for the word ( pretty ) I'll not ask you again:cool:.....:D...

Bye:rolleyes:

That's not quite what I meant by "pretty", but oh well, near enough.

No problem asking questions. Ask as many as you like, that is what the forum is here for.
