In order to calculate the entropy, I need to get the temperature gradient and velocity gradient, how can I get the temperature gradient easily from the CFX-post? thanks

The gradient is calculated by the solver, as is entropy etc. Entropy should already be in your results file, but if the gradient isn't you may need to turn on "output variable operators" in CFX-Pre under the Output Control panel.

Yeah, I can get the Entropy, but what I want is the entropy generation in unit volume, so I need the temperature gradient. anyone has an idea, thanks

I found this post looking for the same question. I solved it in the "Variables" tab of CFD-Post with:

-right click on "Derived"
-Method => Gradient
-Gradient of => Temperature

hi,alquimista
i solved it by dividing the static enthalpy gradient by Cp of water,i compare the two method u and my,the deviation is too large.
i dont know how to choose.
