Number of Positions

In the CFX modeling guide they say, "For transient simulations, you must specify the number of injected particles per unit time. You can specify the number directly or proportional to the injected mass flow rate. In the latter case, you must specify the number of particles per unit time and the mass flow rate. In a transient simulation you can specify the number of particles or mass flow rate as an expression in time."

is "injected mass flow rate" the mass of the injected particles per unit time?

"In the latter case, you must specify the number of particles per unit time and the mass flow rate."
-It seems like this would over-define the particle injection. If I specify the number of particles per uint time then the mass of the injected particles per unit time should also be specified and should be equal to: (the sum of the masses of the particles injected over a time period)/(the length of that time period).

There must be something I am not understanding here. Can anyone explain this to me?

Thank you for your time,
Timothy

I share the doubt!

Anyone can help?

It seems that we have to specify the number of particle twice.
