Porous Domain

Hello, Guys:

I am doing a simulation involves porous domain and have difficulties to distinguish betwenn the Superficial Velocity and True Velocity.

Can anyone tell me the differences and how to calculate the differecne coefficient? please give me also a concerete example.

e.g.

permeability
Resistance Loss Coefficient

Lineare Coefficient
Quadrat Coefficient

even i am doing a similar problem like you ....if i get some idea i will inform you ....creating a porous domain in front of rotor in order to produce the effect of distortion for compressor tests...i guess it will be simpler if u ceate that in fluent and then import it in cfx....if U get the idea u just explain me how to do it....
