solve 2 "additional variable" in one simulation

hi to all.

how can i solve to additional variable in one simulation?

best regards

You simply add the additional variable and do the solution - but I don't think that is what you are asking. Can you clarify your question?

hi
i want to solve 2 "AV" at the same time in one simulation.is it posible?

i use ansys 13 and in default domain when i click on one of them i can change it.

i want to now if i set for eg. sa1=massflow@inlet
and then i want to define another AV "sa2" the setting for sa1 is still remain or cleaned?

thanks

You can use as many AVs as you like. Not sure what the limit is, probably in the hundreds.

But your other comments suggest you do not know what an AV is. You cannot set an AV to massflow@inlet. An additional variable is a field variable, not a single value. Single values are handled by CEL. And yes, before you ask that question, you can define lots of CEL variables also.

Hello Sajad what exactly do you need from the simulation? if you just need one particular value to get as a result of your simulation for example the mass flow in the inlet you can just use the function calculator in cfx-post.

Now, if you want to solve a variable that you expect to change in every cell of your domain and you'd want to use the results for variable cutplanes and etc. then yes, i'd use an AV.

Tell us more about what do you need so we can help you out if we can.

hi.
i did it.
i wanted to have the value of two addtional variable during run to use it some where else in the run.

thanks for your replies.
