Regading importing surface mesh in cfx

Hi all,
I am not able to import surface mesh in cfx 12.. Is it possible to import surface mesh (which is created using Icem cfd) in any other version of cfx ?..

No versions of CFX support 2D meshes, ie surface meshes.

Some versions of CFX automatically extrude a 2D planar mesh one element thick but that might only be for the Fluent mesh import option.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how can I rerun a file in CFX?I simulated a turbine for .000125 timestep. Do I have to run from initial values??How can I run from last timestep?

Thanks

Hi Glenn,
I heard Version 13 can do ... not possible in 13 also?

@ Soni : You can run from previous result file (the one with old timestep) as initial file. But is this exactly what you want to do ? or you want to see the effect of time step size on result ?

Soni - please do not hijack threads. Start a new thread for your question.

CFX does not support 2D simulations, so does not support surface meshes. Or are you asking about immersed solids?

I am so sorry Gorrocks!!
