Water Height in Tutorials

I have worked through the tutorials for CFX and am now beginning to try my own simulations. I am trying to define water height in a water and air model in a tank to generate waves, the model quite similar to tutorial 32 modelling a buoy using the CFX Rigid Body Solver. I have worked through the tutorials but my level of understanding is still low, in these tutorial 9 I see how they defined the water height, at the inlet, But in Tutorial 32 it is not clear at all. wath = -0.05 [m] but I am looking for a slightly more detailed understanding. Has anybody who has recently done the tutorial, understand what I am asking?

And if anybody is able to advise where to get more tutorials for wave-tanks and ship modelling using CFX that would be greatly appreciated.
