It is all explained in the documentation. It uses a coupled solver. It does not use the uncoupled methods you describe.

As for QUICK, you need to set that up with CEL.

Hello Glen,

Which solver algorithms, schemes available in CFX? Could you give some details about this?

Thanks

Hi Glenn

I am confused i read CFX theory manual but i didn't get the point and the references are too old and it is not available for me.
I also read your advise in other pages in this Froum, what i understood is that CFX doesn't use SIMPLE- SIMPLEC- SIMPLER or PISO- but it does pressure velocity coupling, it uses Rhie Chow for interpolating. Is it true???

i found this document when i was searching on the google appd.pdf if you go to page D-19 you can see that it is talking about SIMPLEC which made me even more confused, can you please take a look at this document and let me know what you think?

Thank you in advance

The document you found is using CFX4. This was the previous CFD code, and was superseded by CFX5. CFX5 is a coupled solver and does not use SIMPLE (or its variants). All versions of CFX after 5 use the coupled solver.
