Hello,
I run a multiphase model, continuous water with dispersed solid. transient mode and particle model were selected. after running it, it doesn't solve at all and stop in the first step. the following message appear:
ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. |
| Message: |
| Stopped in routine GET_GVAR |

| |
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
| An error has occurred in cfx5solve: |
| |
| The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file |
| has been created.
I changed the mesh characteristics and timesteps to 0.00001 s, but it doesn't work. would you guide me in this problem?
thanks a lot for your time

As you told, I check the all models, except one case, nothing was wrong.
:in
A.NSYS C.FX-Pre U.ser's G.uide | D.omains | U.ser I.nterface | Surface Tension Force Model
has come that: You must also specify a Surface Tension Coefficient and select the Primary Fluid. but there is no surface tension coefficient in fluid pair models or elsewhere!!!!
what's wrong do you think?

Have you done the tutorials on multiphase flow? That shows you how to set these simulations up.

it maked me crazy

Hello,
I am not sure if it is relevant now. But anyways, I encountered the same problem and I changed the particle solid to user from the material group. the problem is gone.

The particle solid specifies the thermodynamic property of the dispersed phase as solid but when user defined, we can do that by choosing pure substance and thermodynamic property as solid. From this option, we don't need to input surface tension coefficient and the problem vanishes.
