How to estimate uncertainity during simulation

Hi
I am monitoring a CFD simulation with performance numbers (Total pressure loss).I have noticed that there is an oscillation of the performance number for every iteration(Variation in the range of +/-2.5%).Kindly let me know how could i account those variation?

Thanks in advance

Hi sudhakar,

That depends on the physics of your simulation.

I assume it is a transient run?

+-2% is not at all abnormal.

If this answer is unsatisfactory, please provide more details.

If your simulation is steady state this FAQ is for you: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...gence_criteria

Even if your simulation is transient many of the things discussed are relevant.
