CFX Spray Dryer Tutorial 29
 
Hi new on the forum. I'm try to learn how to simulate particle transport modeling. I've done the tutorial 29: Spray Dryer but i've obtain quite odd resuts. The Variabale H2Ol Averaged Temperature Contour has a range from a Min of 0[K] to a max of 312.631[k]. is it normal a temperature of 0[K]? The static temperature at water nozzle is 300[k] and the water temperature at air inlet is 423[k]

Are you saying the tutorial gave you these results? I have not done that tutorial for ages so cannot remember it exactly. Yes, obviously 0K is wrong. Either you did not follow the tutorial correctly or the tutorial has taken some shortcuts and not properly specified the physics.

Thanks for your answer. My first attempt has been done importing a .gtm file, the properties from a .ccl file and making minor changes following the tutorial.
This morning I set up the simulation automatically using a tutorial session file: Sraydryer.pre and I have obtained the same results.
H2Ol (l stand for liquid) is the name given to the water sprayed by the nozzle. The Min value 0[K] is in the area where there are not water particles. In this area the Averaged Mean Particle Diameter is also 0[m]. I reckon my results are correct; 0[k] (H2Ol average temperature) is assigned since the moment there is no water particles.
