pato is on a distinguished road
Hi,

i`d like to know if someone knows what the inputs for Kperm and resistance loss coefficient are for Carman correlation in porous media.
As far as i know :
Kperm = [(Dp^2)*(epsilon^3)*(S^2)]/[150*(1-epsilon)^2]

KLoss = 2[1.75*(1-epsilon)/(S*Dp*(epsilon^3)]

are for Ergun's equation, and hence only for hollow objects. Since i am modeling an air diffuser, i 'd better use another correlation. I think Carman correlation is the right one. Can these equations above also be used for non hollow objects(carman correlation)? If not, which ones should i use???

can anybody help me?

Thanks
