Solidworks assembly to enGrid

Hi,

I tried to import an STL file of a Solidworks assembly into enGrid for meshing.

When I first started to import, pieces were missing from the original assembly, but after I fooled around with the 'save as' options, I was able to upload the entire assemble.

The current problem I am having is that now enGrid sees the assembly as one solid part, and not different parts as part of an assembly.

can anyone help me?

Greetings j_j_d and welcome to the forum!

There are 2 possibilities that come to mind:
  1. Rely on Blender:
    1. Export each part as a separate STL;
    2. Then import each part onto Blender;
    3. Do any changes that might be necessary, while on Blender;
    4. Then export to enGrid.
  2. Manually reassign the surfaces, as explained here: https://github.com/enGits/engrid/wik...ary-conditions
Best regards,
Bruno
