jimyang90 is on a distinguished road
Hi, I just started learning CFD. I am using FloEFD to simulate the air temperature and velocity in an electrical laboratory. Will there be any difference in my result if I used the default turbulence intensity and length or the default turbulence energy and dissipation in the turbulence parameter the Wizard - Initial Conditions. Or is it recommended to specify a value for either of it? Another thing is that is there any method to speed up the simulation time? It's taking 200++ hours at Result Resolution: 1.

Boris_M will become famous soon enough
Hi Jim,
in 99% of all cases you can leave it with the default values. Often this is only necessary if you have specific values from a wind tunnel measurement for example that you want to validate with a simulation. Wind tunnel usually can provide specific turbulence parameters that you would want to match.

But to be honest I used it maybe once or twice in over 7 years and probably a thousand different applications from various industries.
So 99% you don't need to change it.

Boris
