Default Periodic boundaries in Floworks

Hi,

I am trying to simulate a rotational symmetric device which induces swirl motion. I wonder if there is a possibility to do a periodic domain interface (this is how it is called in CFX). In my try, I set the lower limit of the computational domain to zero for X and Z (It is rotational symmetric around the y-axis) So I have a "piece of cake" of my round device. The lower bounds were set to periodic. However, the result is definitely not what I wanted. Is there any other possibility to simplify my simulation?

thank you

sven

Hi,
periodic boundaries in floworks are translational periodicity - not rotationnal. If you have swirl motion you must solve it on a whole model.
