Greetings - I'm involved in using FloWorks to model surface blood flows when the skin is exposed to high frequency thermal stimulation. My intent is to define the material of the containment vessels to reflect properties of arteries, veins, and capillaries ( thermal conductivity, thermal expansion coefficient, elastic modulus, and Poisson’s ratio), as well as defining the thermal conductivity of the skin and tissue immediately under it.
And now, the burning question Can I vary the pressure & flow rate to simulate blood flow by either linking to data contained in a spreadsheet or by using equations to relate those parameters to time?
Thanks for any comments / thoughts - Dennis

Yes, you can use the Dependency option (see the f(x) button) to specify your parameters in a transient analysis both as a tabular or formula dependency on time. To enable transient analysis, select the Time-dependent check box at the Analysis Time step of the Wizard.

Thanks Ivan - I fished around for the dependency option you suggested (I'm still using 2008), and am beginning to sort out its use. Thanks again!!
