lcweng is on a distinguished road
Dear all:

Now, I try to using the FloEFD to simulate the heat trasnfer of porous medium.
I have a question for the thermal conductivity of porous medium.
I must input the thermal conductivity of solid or the effective thermal conductivity of solid.
If anybody know, please tell me.
Thanks.

Boris_M will become famous soon enough
Hi Icweng,
the thermal conductivity is the one from the solid material. That doesn't change because it is a porous medium as it is a material specific parameter. What changes is the density which is why it is refered as "density of the porous matrix".

Regards,
Boris
